MUTO: A Wall-Painted Animation by BLU

This is one of the most spectacular pieces of animation I’ve ever seen. I remember instances of wall art put into limited motion a time or two in the past, but this one completely destroys all previous attempts. It is, for all intents and purposes, a short film created entirely with animated graffiti.

Three cheers for hyper-creativity!

Arts The Beatdoctor – New EP on Beats Broke!!!

arts_cartoon.jpg

I am proud to announce that Beats Broke is releasing the new Arts The Beatdoctor EP entitled “Progressions” on Tuesday, July 8th.

A preview track from the new EP will be available on our site on Thursday, June 12th. We’ll also be revealing the cover art at that time.

The release party will be exactly one month later, on Saturday, July 12th at Ekko in Utrecht, NL. Keynote Speakerz will be opening the show, with the Boemklatsch DJ’s playing the after party.

The EP will be available as a double 7-inch record, limited to 500 units, with a free digital download card included in each package. The digital version will also be available worldwide via your favorite digital retailer, and on our site at www.beatsbroke.com.

We’re all so very excited!

Added to Store – Aeon Grey / Maxilla Blue / Soulcrate Music

central_standard.jpg

We’re now carrying titles from our sister label, Central Standard Records, out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Central Standard is the home to our good friends Aeon Grey and Maxilla Blue – some very talented individuals (and all-around nice dudes).

Not only are they nice, but so are their prices. Pick up Maxilla Blue (one of our favorite albums of 2008), an instrumental album from Aeon Grey, and a Aeon Grey / Soulcrate Music split for only $9.99.

Europeans, take advantage of the weak U.S. dollar and import these albums now at an exchange rate of only $6.42 euros!!! You can actually purchase an album (with overseas shipping) cheaper than a U.S. customer could buy it (without shipping). How crazy is that?!?

Thank the U.S. government and their continued war efforts for these hip-hop values…
